New year, new me?

Well other than the fact that I said I wanted a new hobby and did nothing, this year has started out great:)
Today starts my 7-day Vegan Detox. I saw this on the Dr. Oz show and based on my lifestyle, the 7-day Vegan Detox was the way to go.
It seems like a straight forward thing, right? Eat vegan and hope to not kill anyone over hunger pains later. I have been a meat and potatoes kinda girl my whole life, then my daughter was born and BOOM! No more dairy. I'm kinda hoping to use this to my advantage, though, due to only cutting out animals.

We'll as of now I have consumed:
Panera Breads Power Spinach Salad without egg and bacon:(
Unsweetened iced tea
Whole wheat French bread chunk
1 cup of both cauliflower and broccoli with 1 Tbsp homemade vinaigrette
Organic Grapefruit Italian soda

So far, so good I guess....I'm gonna go see how much weight I've lost!!

Hubby said to find a hobby...

Well Hello!!

My name is Brittany and I need a hobby. (Sorry if that sounded like an AA meeting introduction)

I was told by my "new" husband that I need a hobby and after thinking about that for days on end, which he loved, I decided to start a blog.

I guess I will start by saying that I am 26 years old, was proposed to by said boyfriend/fiance/husband of 7 years at the end of 2010 to which we planned a wedding for December 21, 2012.
All "awwww's" aside, we then found out that I was pregnant this passed April and the due date is for December 20, 2012.
So we did the only thing we could think of...Shotgun Wedding!! Well not really, but still just as funny. Picture this: I am 6 months, standing underneath a plastic trellis covered in Christmas lights, behind a glass cubical and listening to a woman say, "We are gathered here today..." Awesome.

I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary arts in September and majored in Pastry and Baking. Needless to say, job hunting for a now temporary job in a uncharted career for me wasn't a very intriguing option. But finishing my two year degree is still AMAZING!

Well, I guess that is the end of my first post and I hope I didn't put anyone to sleep:)

Til next time!!
